I am often asked why Georgia Power has so many rules and guidelines regarding construction and maintenance along the shoreline of Jackson Lake. There are several correct responses to the question but the answer can best be packaged in the following two objectives: 1) Regulatory Compliance, and, 2) Our Vision for Jackson Lake.

Today’s preferred landscaping emphasizes natural looking plantings employing native flowers, trees and shrubs, and minimal use of turf grass lawn.
