Please be advised that on Thursday and Friday, August 24th and 25th 2017, Georgia Power plans to apply aquatic herbicide to portions of Lakes Harding, Goat Rock, and Oliver to control nuisance aquatic plants. The treatment is designed to maintain navigation connectivity to the main lake.
There are no swimming or fishing restrictions for treated waters. However there are drinking and irrigation restrictions:
- Do not use treated water for drinking purposes for three full days following treatments.
- Do not use treated water for irrigating lawns or ornamental plants for three full days following treatment.
The treatment date is subject to change due to weather conditions or other factors. Any changes in the treatment date will be posted to this website.
