Aquatic Herbicide Treatments Week of July 4th

Please be advised that on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday July 5th, 6th, and 7th 2017, Georgia Power plans to apply aquatic herbicide to portions of Lake Harding and Lake Oliver.  The treatment is designed to maintain navigation connectivity to the main lake. Please refer to the attached maps for treatment type. Treatment areas in yellow have no water use restrictions. Treatment areas in green have the following three day use restrictions:

  • Do not use treated water for drinking purposes for three full days following treatment.
  • Do not use treated water for irrigating lawns or ornamental plants for three full days following treatment.

The treatment date is subject to change due to weather conditions or other factors. Any changes in the treatment date will be posted to this website.
